Interior design and technical direction for this fabulous villa with 3 floors and basement in Altos de los Monteros, Marbella, Malaga.
The entrance, under a skylight and with a large window overlooking the sea, anticipates how blue will be present in certain elements as a secondary colour.
A villa with a neutral base in white, and with a large repertoire of finishes harmoniously combined to maintain a sophisticated balance and great visual richness.
The lighting, the carpentry, the textiles, chosen with great care to guarantee the desired urban effect, with the exterior always present.
The villa has four bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and 3 of them with dressing room. Currently the uses they have are master bedroom, guest bedroom, and two studios as offices.
On the ground floor we find a design of solid wood slats and security glass, with decorative stained glass windows executed in cast lead that are a fantasy. There is also a guest bedroom and access to the technical room and garage.
The house, descending from the entrance, has a suspended staircase lined in wood that connects the ground floor entrance with level -1 of the gym, spa and two studios and level -2 of the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. The use of colour appears in different parts of the house in cladding, such as the textured paint on the staircase wall.
The main space is the living room with integrated dining room and kitchen, open to the large terraces and the infinity pool all on the same level. It has a barbecue and outdoor dining area, hammock area and a bathroom for the pool, as well as a covered shaded area with built in seating, chill out.
The paving is planned to be the same indoors and outdoors. A large format Inalco Larsen model with a callacatta effect with a white base and a light grey and black vein. The continuous floor reinforces the idea of spaciousness of the home.
The wall coverings have been meticulously studied: on the front of the fireplace, there is a gold and copper metallic covering by Arte Internacional. The studios have wall coverings in English-effect textile wallpaper with houndstooth geometry in one and repeating the use of the flooring and accompanied by wood panelling in the other.
Wood cladding also appears on the headboard in the master bedroom, with a combination of solid ash wood panelling, stained, or with copper mirrors.
The gym and spa room, on level -1, complete the application of colour and wood. In the gym, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and a special impact floor are placed on the general flooring of the home.
In the spa, in the tensioned and backlit ceiling with barrisol print, and in the black burnt wood cladding in the sauna and Turkish bath. Here an Italian-branded micro-gresite is applied in black, grey and white.
It is a home with many carefully designed elements such as the skirting boards, which are flush with the walls, the false ceilings in the dining room in wooden slats, each bathroom has a differentiating design, with washbasins on worktops and built-in taps, all with decorative illuminated niches, etc. Except for the courtesy toilet, which is designed in the same material as the flooring and with silver-effect wallpaper, with washbasin and pedestal taps in black, like the rest of the accessories.
